We give God all the glory, for He has done great things throughout the “Balkan Call 2019”. He has revealed His greatness to us in more than one way during this time. People from 26 different nations attended including all Balkan nations except two. As we were worshipping Him it was a foretaste of what is described in Revelation 7:9: “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.”

During the three days we gathered as ONE HOLY NATION and declared His praises, Who has called us out of darkness into His wonderful light, exactly as it says in 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Worship teams from Serbia, Albania, Croatia and Greece led us for six different sessions. In other words, we spent eighteen hours worshipping, praying and focusing on Jesus as the King over our lives, as the head of the Church and as the Lord over the Balkans and Turkey.

Continuous prayer and worship started in an upper room 24 hours before the “Balkan Call 2019” began and continued for 75 hours until its very end. Because of this intense and unified intercession we witnessed the glory of God in our midst in a very powerful way.

We had powerful teaching and testimony from Venco Nakov (pastor from North Macedonia) and Pavlos Demetriades (pastor of the hosting church in Thessaloniki, Greece). They shared their story of how God had worked in their hearts to seek reconciliation between their two nations.

We heard powerful testimonies from the nation of Turkey. Several people who have served the Lord there for 20 or more years shared the reality of the challenges believers there are facing. At the same time they sensed an increasing openness and have an expectancy for breakthrough and revival soon to happen. This can be attributed to a world-wide prayer movement sparked by some of the challenges that we heard about.

As the Lord showed us to do beforehand, representatives of each Balkan nation present spoke blessings over each other. This also included blessing Turkey and the Ottoman Empire according to the commandments of the Lord:
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” (Romans 12:14) and
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (1 Peter 3:9)

Imagine the impact on the earth when the children of God in the Balkan nations come together in unity and speak forgiveness and blessing over the nation and people of Turkey – from which a great persecution and curse came more than 500 years ago. We can certainly claim the promise from the scripture above that such people, in this case the people of the Balkan nations, will inherit a blessing!

This is WHAT happened and IS happening through this movement of God’s love and prayer which is the Balkan Call.

• One attendee, a believer and follower of Jesus for many decades said quite simply, “This is the most powerful and impactful Christian gathering that I have ever been a part of in my entire life.”
• Another brother testified of seeing angels of the Lord appear during a time of prolonged worship. Both he and his wife were powerfully touched and renewed in the Holy Spirit. They received clear instruction to return to their village, to gather the people, and to share the Gospel with them!
• A brother and sister who had previously lived in Turkey said that before attending the Balkan Call they had never much considered or known much about the Balkans. They were touched so profoundly that they said there are now telling everyone about the Balkan Call!
• Another brother reported seeing many more miracles after the Balkan Call. He saw unbelievers being touched by the Holy Spirit. He saw believers who had fallen away, coming back to the Lord!

There were so many powerful and miraculous works that God did in our midst and we are aware of only a small part of them. Understandably it is not possible to mention all of them.

However the Lord was making it very clear that NOW is the time for the Church in the Balkans to unite and to INCREASE prayer for Turkey. There is a plan now for a group of believers from the Balkans to make a trip to Turkey in the first half of 2020 to meet believers and pastors there. As a deliberate step of faith and God’s love, to our knowledge, this has not happened before.
